In 2023, when a client reached out for our assistance in navigating the issues surrounding charitable gifts of commercial real estate (CRE), we were both intrigued and eager to help. As many in this important space know, the complexity and risk that comes along with accepting these gifts of CRE, make it extremely difficult for charities to tap into this prime fundraising resource. We immediately got to work to figure it out.
